Responsible Breeding

The Maine Coon is one of the oldest natural cat breeds in North America, meaning this beautiful breed developed without deliberate human interference. As a reputable breeder, my goal is to preserve the natural standard, strength, and character of the Maine Coon.

All of our Maine Coons are purebred, pedigreed, and carefully selected through a minimum five-generation pedigree evaluation. Our breeding cats are genetically tested through Optimal Selection or CatScan for over 50 genetic health markers, while also considering genetic diversity and healthy heterozygosity.

All of our Kings and Queens are OFA hip screened, and cats with blue or odd eyes are *BAER tested. Our cattery is FeLV/FIV negative and Tritrichomonas foetus negative. We strive to breed healthy, powerful Maine Coons with sweet, balanced temperaments.

Healthy genetics are the foundation of strong Maine Coons, but care, environment, and socialization are just as important. Our kittens are raised with dedication and love in a warm, home-based environment, allowing their personalities to blossom as part of our family.

Health

The Maine Coon is a slow-maturing breed and is not fully grown or developed until approximately 4 years of age.

All of our kittens are guaranteed to be free from congenital defects for a period of one year from their date of birth, along with a five-year guarantee against hereditary genetic conditions. We also provide one month of complimentary pet medical insurance through Trupanion.

Prior to adoption, each kitten is examined by our veterinarian and receives a full health check. They will have completed age-appropriate deworming and FVRCP vaccinations.

Your Maine Coon will also be microchipped, and all veterinary health records will be provided at the time of adoption.

* BEAR certification: Brainstem auditory evoked response (BAER) is a test to measure the brain wave activity that occurs in response to sounds. All kittens that have blue eyes or odd eyes will also be tested before their adoption day. Results will be shared with the their adopting family withing 5 days of their test date,
